Hardware devices for use with EFT-POS software and hardware solutions for card processing. Please find below a recommended selection of hardware devices from Linksys, Sarian, Multitech and Eicon. This is a small selection of the devices we supply. The exact models and features of the devices recommended will depend on your individual requirements and we will discuss these with you along with the most appropriate card processing solution for your needs.
Please find below devices for use on your network in connecting our card processing terminals - whether fixed ( e.g. Verifone 3750 ) or wireless ( e.g. Verifone 3600 ). Devices include Broadband (ADSL) connection devices.
An all in one latest technology device combining an ADSL Broadband modem, internet router for forwarding network traffic to the internet, 4-port switch for connecting up to four fixed ethernet devices, and wireless 802.11g and 802.11b for communication with WiFi wireless devices and PCs. Includes stateful packet inspection firewall functionality with NAT and filters to protect your network from the internet. The SRX technology increases the wireless range and speed of operation with standard 802.11b and 802.11g devices as well as SRX enabled devices.

Please find below managed network devices that provide additional functionality over and above standard network devices. They include full remote management, identification of network and authorisation problems with full detailed logging and the ability to send automatic alerts via email.
The Sarian 2110 router provides IP functionality over the mobile phone network. Ideally suited to environments where a permanent fixed ( e.g. ADSL broadband ) connection is not available or as a backup to a fixed internet connection ( e.g. in times of ADSL failure). For Cisco equipment automatic failover using VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) is supported. The 2120 router can be used by all credit card authorisation products that use ICP ( e.g. authorisation over the internet ) including ICP-Client, ICP-XML and Ocius Terminals.

The Eicon S.94 internal PC card is a high performance card which provides card authorisation capabilities over a permanent X.25 connection. This gives sub-second authorisation times on card authorisation requests and up to 250 virtual circuit connections. WinTI is limited to 32 simultaneous authorisation channels on a single server.
The Sarian TA 2020 ISDN terminal adapter is a managed ISDN TA offering authorisation times of approximately 5-6 seconds including call set-up. The Sarian 2020 has two serial ports and will support 2 simultaneous authorisation requests over a standard ISDN2e / Business Highway line.
The multitech ZDX External multimodem provides standard dial-up authorisation functionality over standard phone lines. Authorisation times on card transactions are approximately 20-25 seconds including call set-up.
